Confined Space Rescue and Emergency Procedures.

Normally require the use of portable breathing apparatus but who may use gas detection monitors and / or portable escape sets in emergency situations.

This course provides candidates with knowledge and practical competence to allow a person to enter basic confined spaces safely, for the purpose of carrying out light maintenance or inspection work.

Your training will include a range of practical and theoretical topics, including:

 

  • Legal, personal, medical requirements for confined space entry
  • Characteristics of confined spaces – what is a confined space?
  • Types of personal protective equipment
  • Types of rescue equipment
  • Use of escape sets
  • Use of vertical safety systems.
  • Use of stretchers
  • Carry out a casualty recovery
  • Use of gas detector

Managing confined space entry & entry procedures.

For persons (such as managers/supervisors/team leaders etc) who need to understand the requirements to enter confined spaces which do not normally require the use of portable breathing apparatus but who may use gas detection monitors and / or portable escape sets in emergency situations.  This course includes a demonstration of gas monitoring and escape sets.
Course covers Legal, personal, medical requirements for confined space entry, the types of personal protective and rescue equipment used, as well as gas monitoring and awareness of atmospheric hazards. 1 day course
